Introduction of x ray television introscope :
Transport infrastructure facilities belong to places of general congestion with increased safety. The main activity to identify prohibited items and substances is screening (a person, hand luggage and baggage).
Principle of x ray television introscope operation:
Luggage or other inspected object moves along the conveyor and, once inside the tunnel of the installation, is irradiated with an X-ray tube from a certain angle: from above, below or from the side, based on the design features of the device. Part of the radiation energy is lost depending on the thickness and material of the object. Residual energy is recorded by special detectors and converted into electrical signals, which are processed in the processor unit. The denser the baggage, the less radiation hits the detectors. Ultimately, the X-ray television installation generates a projection of the inspected object, which reflects its internal structure. The thicker the object, the darker it will appear in the final image.
